Acrisure Amphitheater Grand Rapids

Acrisure Amphitheater

The Acrisure Amphitheater represents one of the most significant investments in Downtown Grand Rapids in decades, anchoring the riverfront redevelopment just south of the CBD. This 12,000-seat outdoor venue is designed to host major concerts, community events, and national touring acts, bringing new energy and activity to the downtown core.

Set to open in 2026, the amphitheater is part of a broader 31-acre riverfront vision that will introduce new public green space, improved trail connectivity, and future mixed-use development along the Grand River.

The Amway Stadium will introduce Grand Rapids’ first professional soccer venue, further expanding the city’s growing sports and entertainment presence downtown. Designed as an 8,500-seat, multi-use facility, the stadium will host professional matches, community events, and year-round programming.

Scheduled to open in 2027 as the home of AC Grand Rapids, the project is expected to attract significant regional attendance while driving continued investment in nearby housing, retail, and commercial development.

Restore The Rapids

The “Restore the Rapids” project is a major initiative to reconnect Downtown Grand Rapids with its namesake river by restoring natural rapids along a 2.5-mile stretch of the Grand River. The project will remove outdated dams, improve river flow, and enhance environmental conditions.

In addition to ecological benefits, it will activate the riverfront with new recreational opportunities and public access , serving as a long-term catalyst for downtown investment and placemaking.
